Staryu, a water Pokémon, is in the first stage of evolution. It is also one of the first generation Pokémon. It was created by Satoshi Tajiri. His second evolution is Starmi.

The region in the middle of Starmi is jewel-shaped, while that of Staryu is circular. It is Misty’s Pokémon, one of the main characters of the series. When its energy is low, the red zone in the middle flashes and gives a warning. Staryu is not having a mouth. But he can spell his name and say it as a groan.
