Avatar Cartoon Coloring Page<\/p>\n

A 12-year-old Airbender named Aang (112 years old, considering he was frozen in an iceberg for 100 years) lived in the Southern Air Temple. He learned from the old monks that he was the Avatar. <\/p>\n

Normally an Avatar’s true identity would be told when he turned 16, but the monks feared that war between the 4 nations was imminent, so they revealed it earlier because when a war broke out, the Avatar was the only one who could bring peace and restore balance. <\/p>\n

Soon, Aang learned that he had to leave his teacher and protector, Monk Gyatso, and go to the Eastern Air Temple to continue his training.<\/p>\n

Frightened and confused, Aang decided to escape with Appa, the flying bison. But it encountered a sudden storm in the Southern Ocean and began to sink towards the bottom of the ocean. <\/p>\n

Passing unconsciously into the Avatar State, Aang created a bubble to protect himself and Appa. However, Aang remained in the Avatar state inside the iceberg he had created, and that iceberg drifted towards the South Pole. <\/p>\n

Katara and Sokka found Aang when they were out fishing and decided to help Aang stop the fire nation’s stampede on other nations.<\/p>\n
