Sonic is a fifteen year old, blue, anthropomorphic, very peaceful and moody hedgehog who has his main ability in his name (sonic, meaning he can run at the speed of sound) and is always looking for adventures to his nemesis, Dr. Eggman to defeat.

Exactly what speed Sonic can reach is unknown. In Sonic Battle it is described that he can reach several times the speed of sound.
