Princess Belle (“Belle” means “beautiful” in French) is the title character of Disney’s 1991 films Beauty and the Beast and 1997-1998 Belle’s Magical World.

Belle is voiced by Paige O’Hara in the movie. She was portrayed by Susan Egan (who would later voice Megara in the movie Hercules) in the April 14, 1994 Broadway musical.

Belle is the 5th official Disney princess.
