Official flag of Iran. It consists of Green-White and Red colors from top to bottom, respectively. It was adopted in 1980. In addition, at the end of the green strip and at the beginning of the red strip, there is the inscription Allahu Akbar consisting of 22 Kufic characters. The reason why this number is 22 is that the Islamic Revolution in Iran is the day of the revolution according to the Bahman calendar. The symbol in the middle means La ilaha illallah.
