Meaning of the Flag of Spain:

The coat of arms includes the royal seal surrounded by the Pillars of Hercules.

The columns represent the capes of Gibraltar and Ceuta on either side at the end of the Strait of Gibraltar. Each quarter badge in the coat of arms represents the kingdom of Spain.

In the middle of this coat of arms is the symbol of the House of Bourbon of the Spanish Royal Family.
